London Stock Exchange Plc 1 August 2001 EXTENSION OF SERVICES MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT With effect from 1 August 2001, London Stock Exchange plc ('the Exchange') has agreed an extension of its Services Management Agreement with Accenture plc dated 11 October 1996 ('the Agreement') for a period of up to 5 years from 1 April 2002. The Agreement, pursuant to which Accenture plc is the main facilities manager for the Exchange's trading and information systems, continues to provide flexibility for the Exchange in developing its markets and products in accordance with its stated business strategy. The Agreement strengthens the incentives on Accenture to maintain the 100% availability of market facing systems that has been achieved over the last 12 months. This Agreement also maintains the focus on managing operations in the most cost effective way (building on savings achieved to date) and incorporates flexible notice provisions exercisable by the Exchange. The net annual payment to Accenture plc under the terms of the Agreement for the year ended 31st March 2001 was £13.9 million.
