STOCK EXCHANGE NOTICE

INTRODUCTION OF ADDITIONAL SECURITIES TO SETS

1.  Following a review of trading of securities within the FTSE 250, the
Exchange will transfer further securities onto the order book with effect from
the start of business on Monday 6 September 1999.

2. The transfer of securities to the order book and de-registration of member
firms registered as market makers in any of the securities concerned will be
conducted automatically by the Exchange effective from 6 September 1999.  No
action is required by member firms in relation to de-registration.

3. Member firms are reminded that because of the de-registration of market
makers in these securities, they will no longer qualify for the disclosure
exemption under section 209 of the Companies Act 1985.  Therefore, rule 4.61
will not apply to these securities from 6 September 1999.

4.   Details of the securities concerned are set out in the attachments to
this Notice.
