Applications for listing and admission to trading

London Stock Exchange Group plc (the Company)

19 October 2009

Applications have been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange for 464,310 ordinary shares of 6 79/86 pence each in the Company (the New LSEG Shares) to be admitted to the Official List and to be admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities respectively. The New LSEG Shares are being issued in connection with the Company's acquisition of Millennium Information Technologies Limited, which was completed on Friday 16 October 2009.

When issued, the New LSEG Shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company. It is expected that the listing will become effective, and the first tranche of New LSEG Shares will be issued, on 20 October 2009.
