Share Capital Consolidation

The Annual General Meeting held on 14 July 2004 approved the consolidation of
the existing issued share capital on the basis of 6 new shares for every 7
shares held.

Accordingly, application has been made to The UK Listing Authority for
254,571,428 Ordinary shares of 5 5/6p each to be admitted to the Official List
and to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading.
Dealings are expected to commence on 26 July 2004.
