London Securities Plc (London) - Result of EGM

Notification of Directors' Interest

London announces that, following the tender offer announced on 23 May 2000,
the contract for London to repurchase 20,803 Ordinary Shares at a fixed price
of 258p per share was duly approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting held
today.  These shares have now been repurchased by London and will be
cancelled, at which point the ordinary share capital of London will amount to
14,570,816 ordinary shares.

Following this alteration to the issued share capital of London, the interest
of Mr J G Murray (which amount to, in total, 13,549,994 ordinary shares) will
increase from 92.86 per cent. to 92.99 per cent.
