                    Substantial Shareholding Notification



On 20 August 2001, the Company was notified by Exeter Investment Group plc
that Exeter Financials Fund Limited had purchased 85,000 shares in the Company
on 17 August 2001.

As a result, portfolios under the management of Exeter Asset Management
Limited hold in aggregate 1,810,000 shares in the Company, representing 7.08%
of the issued share capital, and are held as follows:

Exeter Equity Growth & Income Fund                                      500,000
Exeter Financials Fund                                                  885,000
Exeter Equity Income Fund                                               425,000



In addition, Exeter Financials Fund Limited's individual holding of 885,000
shares represents 3.46% of the issued share capital of the Company.
