Empire Online Limited ('Empire Online' or 'the Company')


Empire Online yesterday issued a total of 10,290,000 options over Empire Online
Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 3.5 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company, pursuant to the existing Empire Online Limited
Discretionary Share Option Plan.


The options were issued to certain employees and directors of the Company at a
strike price of 71p per share and becoming exercisable in three equal tranches
on the first, second and third anniversaries of the date of grant, including the
following grants of options to directors:



Lord Steinberg (Chairman)                                                200,000
Andrew Burns (CFO)                                                       600,000
Richard Rosenberg (Non Executive)                                         75,000
