Statement re price movement

World Sport Group PLC 31 May 2002 Date: 31 May 2002 On behalf of: World Sport Group plc WORLD SPORT GROUP PLC The Board of World Sport Group plc ('the Company'), the sports media, marketing and management group, has noted the recent movement in the Company's share price and confirms that its joint venture company, World Sport Nimbus Pte Ltd, is in the process of finalising an agreement with its joint venture partner, News Corp, for News Corp to acquire the entire shareholding in Global Cricket Corporation Pte Ltd for a nominal sum. The agreement under discussion will eliminate the Company's financial exposure to this contract and provides for World Sport Group Nimbus to be retained as its marketing partner on an agency basis. The Company also confirms that it is in negotiations regarding a potential acquisition. The Company also announces that as part of the ongoing restructuring of the business, Mr Robert Bland resigned as Director and left the Company on 24 May 2002. Further information on the aforementioned disposal and acquisition together with details of a possible fundraising relating in part to the acquisition and also to strengthen the Company's balance sheet will be incorporated with the announcement of the Company's final results which it expects to release by the end of June 2002.
