Andrew Yates, a director of Liontrust Asset Management PLC,
is a participant of the Company's Employee Share Ownership
Plan and on 21 December 2001 was allocated 93 ordinary
shares at a price of 405.0p per share. This takes his total
holding to 480,110 ordinary shares, representing
approximately 1.44 per cent. of the ordinary issued share
capital of the Company.
