Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") announces that Nicholas Prettejohn will be retiring from the Board on 6 June after having served on the Board for over two years.

Nick is retiring due to his appointment as a non-executive director of the Prudential Regulation Authority.

BIOGRAPHY

Nick was appointed to the board of Legal & General Group plc in November 2010. He is currently Chairman of Brit Insurance Holdings B.V.  His former roles include: Chief Executive of Lloyd's of London, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential UK & Europe, and Executive Director of Prudential Plc.
