The Company has been informed of the following purchases of ordinary shares of
2.5p each in the Company made today by Mr. R. J. Margetts, Chairman of the
Company, and his wife. The shares were purchased at a price of 96.21p per share
and are held in their PEP accounts:-

Mr. R. J. Margetts          1,493 shares

Mrs. J. S. Margetts           996 shares

Following these transactions, Mr. Margetts' beneficial shareholding in the
Company, including those of his wife, stands at 280,936.
