1.   Lloyds TSB Registrars have today advised us that, in accordance with the 
     terms of the Plan, they acquired ordinary shares of 2.5p each in the Group
     on 21 May 2007 at a price of 158.9641p on behalf of the following director:

     C. R. R. Avery                                        19,277

     Following the above reported transaction, the director's beneficial 
     interests in the ordinary shares of the Group are 1,182,459.

2.   Lloyds TSB Registrars have also advised us that, in accordance with the 
     terms of the Plan, they acquired ordinary shares of 2.5p each in the Group
     on 21 May 2007, at a price of 158.9641p on behalf of the following 
     connected person:

     V. Hoskin (wife of G. J. Hoskin)                                   4,677
