Legal & General Group Employee Share Plan



Following a reconciliation of Directors' share interests, Legal & General Group
Plc ('Legal & General') has become aware that an allotment of free shares made
under the Legal & General Group Employee Share Plan ('the Plan') during 2007,
was not announced to the market as required.



On 10 September 2007, in common with all eligible employees, each of the
Executive Directors of Legal & General was awarded 150 free shares under the
Plan at a price of 134.1p per share.



Taking account of this correction, the Executive Directors beneficial interests
are as follows:
