Savings Related Share Option Scheme ('the Scheme')

In common with all eligible employees, each of the executive directors of Legal
& General Group Plc ('the Company') have been invited to participate in the
Scheme. On 25 August 2006, T. J Breedon was granted options over 9,220 ordinary
2.5p shares in the Company at a price of 101.4p per share.
