Dividend Reinvestment Plan ('the Plan')


We have been advised by Morgan Stanley (Nominee) that, in accordance with the
terms of the Plan, 3,413 Ordinary shares of 2.5p each in the Company have been
purchased on behalf of Sir David Walker, Vice Chairman and non-executive
director of Legal & General Group Plc, at a price of 135.4456p per share.

Following the transaction, Sir David Walker's beneficial interest in the
Ordinary shares of the Group is 254,554.
