Resignation of Director

Mr Jim Kidd, director of the Group's UK Printing Division, today resigns as a
director of Leeds Group plc and it's subsidiary companies.

Following the successful sale of Strines Textiles to Walker Greenbank, and the
closure of Walsden Printing, Mr Kidd will be taking up a new post as Business
Development Director at Walker Greenbank with effect from Monday 3rd September
2001.
