                                 Board Changes

Leeds Group plc ('the Group') announces several changes to the Board of
Directors.

Carol Roberts, who has extensive experience in the finance leasing sector, joins
the Main Board with immediate effect. Carol joined the Group in June 2004 when
she was appointed Managing Director of the Group's subsidiary, Leeds Leasing
plc.

In addition, the Board has been further strengthened by the appointments of
Johan Claesson and Ewen Wigley who join the Board with effect from today as
Non-Executive Directors.

As well as being a major shareholder in the Group, Johan Claesson has extensive
business interests. He is Chairman of Claesson & Anderzen, a private property
company, and a Director of three public companies - KaroBio AB (biotechnology)
and Boras Wafvery AB (textiles) in Sweden, and K3 Business Technology Group plc
in the UK. Ewen Wigley is a Director of Union Investment Management Limited and
has valuable and extensive experience of both finance leasing and corporate
finance.

Dawn Bowler, who has been Group Finance Director since September 2002, is to
step down from the Board at the end of September 2004 to pursue other business
interests. The Directors would like to extend their thanks to Dawn for her
achievements in a career with the Group that spans eight years.

Malcolm Wilson held the position of Group Finance Director for three years prior
to becoming Group Managing Director in September 2002, and he will now also
resume the responsibility for Group Finance from October 2004.

Vin Murria who has acted as Non-Executive Chairman since the resignation of Bill
Cran in April 2004 will continue in this capacity.

The Board believes that these changes will provide additional experience as the
Group's strategic options continue to be examined particularly in relation to
the leasing subsidiary.
