Appointment of a Chairman and Chief Executive

James Latham plc announces the appointment of Roger Latham as Group Chairman and
Chief Executive following the retirement of David Latham.

Roger Latham relinquished responsibility for Nevill Long Group to his cousin
Peter Latham in May and concentrates on running the Lathams Ltd. importing
business, plus his new role as Chairman and Chief Executive of James Latham plc.
