Land Securities Group PLC - Transactions in Own Shares

Land Securities Group PLC (the 'Company') announces that on 21 September 2007 it
purchased 200,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 1655.1769 pence per
share. The highest price paid was 1664 pence per share and the lowest price paid
was1642 pence per share.

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above
purchase, Land Securities Group PLC holds 5,346,000 ordinary shares in treasury,
and has 465,160,096 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
