Land Securities Group PLC - Transactions in Own Shares


Land Securities Group PLC (the 'Company') announces that on 14 June 2006 it
purchased from JPMorgan Cazenove Limited 450,000 ordinary shares at an average
price of 1713.0262 pence per share. The purchased shares will be held as
treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Land Securities Group PLC holds
950,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 468,370,668 ordinary shares in
issue (excluding treasury shares).
