Land Securities Group PLC - Transactions in Own Shares

Land Securities Group PLC (the 'Company') announces that on 17 December 2007  it
purchased  250,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 1417.8881 pence per
share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above
purchase, Land Securities Group PLC holds 5,896,000 ordinary shares in treasury,
and has 464,851,771 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
