Land Securities Group PLC - Transactions in Own Shares


Land Securities Group PLC (the 'Company') announces that on 27 July 2007 it
purchased 220,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 1644.4031 pence per
share. The highest price paid was 1650 pence per share and the lowest price paid
was 1618 pence per share.


The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above
purchase, Land Securities Group PLC holds 3,545,000 ordinary shares in treasury,
and has 466,899,027 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
