Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for 36,065 Ordinary shares of £1 each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List.

It is expected admission will be granted on 17 April 2002 and trading will
commence on 18 April 2002.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options under
the Executive Share Option Scheme (32,500)and the Savings Related Share Option
Scheme (3,565).

These shares now rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
