Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange Plc and the financial
Services Authority for 2772 Ordinary shares of £1 each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List. It is expected that admission will be granted
on 17 July 2001 and that dealings will commence 18 July 2001.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options
under the Land Securities Savings Related Share Option Scheme and will rank
pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
