Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange Plc for 17,283 Ordinary shares of £1 each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List. It is expected admission will be granted on 07
February 2001 and that trading will commence on 08 February 2001.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options
under the Executive Share Option Scheme (15,400 shares) and Savings Related
Share Option Scheme (1,883 shares) and will rank pari passu with the existing
issued ordinary shares.
