KONAMI Obtained Gaming Machine Product License in Nevada, U.S. The First Product 'Simply Poker' Will Be Released in December Oct. 27, 2000 KONAMI CORPORATION (CEO: Kagemasa Kozuki, hereafter: Konami) obtained product license for its poker game machine 'Simply Poker' in the state of Nevada Oct. 26th. The license was approved at public hearing of Nevada Gaming Commission held today in Carson City. Konami and its wholly owned subsidiary Konami Gaming, Inc.(Nevada, U.S., Established: Feb. 1997, hereafter: KGI) already obtained licenses for manufacturing and distribution of gaming machine January this year. With product license, Konami is now granted all the necessary licenses to start the gaming business in Nevada. Following 'Simply Poker' 6 more models including next generation type '5 reels video slot machine' are under preparation for application. In line with obtaining product licenses, Konami will further expand its machine lineup. These machines were exhibited at the U.S. largest gaming machine exposition (World Gaming 2000 Conference and EXPO) started Oct. 18th in Las Vegas and acclaimed highly for their innovativeness and playability. KONAMI Obtained License for Gaming Machine Manufacturing in Mississippi, U.S. Success Following the First License from the State of Nevada Oct. 27, 2000 KONAMI CORPORATION (CEO: Kagemasa Kozuki, hereafter: Konami) obtained license as the first Japanese company to manufacture gaming machine in the state of Mississippi Oct. 26th. The approval was made at public hearing of 'Mississippi Gaming Commission' held today in Jackson. At the same time, wholly owned subsidiary Konami Gaming, Inc.(Nevada, U.S., Established: Feb. 1997, hereafter: KGI) was also granted license for manufacturing and distribution of gaming machine. Konami and KGI obtained licenses for manufacturing and distribution of gaming machine in the state of Nevada January this year and now succeeded in obtaining the same license in the state of Mississippi. They have already submitted applications to California and Indiana and eventually plan to cover all the states with authorized casinos in U.S. Now Konami is well prepared to make a full-scale entry into U.S. gaming market. There are about 80 countries worldwide with officially approved casinos and it is assumed that the global market size of gaming machines is around $2 billion per annum. U.S. is outstanding leading country with almost 50% share of global gaming market. In U.S. each state imposes legal restriction to maintain discipline of the gaming industry.
