                       Quester VCT plc ('the Company')

The directors are pleased to announce that the Company made a final allotment
of 15,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company under the terms of the £3
million offer for subscription, which closed fully subscribed. This allotment
was made on 8 January 2002 and it is expected that dealings will commence on
Wednesday 9 January 2002.
