                       Quester VCT plc ('the Company')

The directors are pleased to announce that the Company made an allotment of
89,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company under the terms of the £3
million offer for subscription, which has now closed fully subscribed. This
allotment was made on 6 December 2001 and it is expected that dealings will
commence on Friday 7 December 2001.
