                      Board Retirement at Kingfisher plc

Kingfisher  plc  announces the retirement from the board of its  non-executive
director Ronald Goldstein.  Mr Goldstein has been a board member since 1987 on
the acquisition by Kingfisher of Superdrug and became a non-executive director
in 1990.

Sir  Geoffrey Mulcahy, Chief Executive of Kingfisher, said: 'I would  like  to
thank  Mr  Goldstein for his years of invaluable service to  Kingfisher.   The
Goldstein  family  founded Superdrug and has made a huge contribution  to  the
development of Kingfisher'.
