Kingfisher today (Monday) announced that Roger Holmes will leave its Board on
October 31 (2000) and will leave the Company in December.
Bill Whiting, who as recently announced was promoted from B&Q International
Managing Director to Chief Executive of B&Q, will join the Kingfisher Board
effective from October 31, immediately after Mr Holmes leaves the Board.
Mr Holmes was Chief Executive of Kingfisher Electrical SA (KESA) based in
Paris. He has been replaced by Jean-Noel Labroue, who was KESA's Senior Vice
President and former Managing Director of Darty, the leading French electrical
retailer, who is also promoted to the Kingfisher Board.
