KINGFISHER PLC 6.875% MEDIUM TERM NOTES DUE 23 MARCH 2010

Kingfisher hereby announces that, following its invitation dated 15 July 2009, to holders of the £150m 6.875% Notes due March 2010, to offer their Notes for repurchase, it has repurchased £54,877,000 of the Notes. The purchases represent 36.58% of the Notes in issue and the Notes purchased will be cancelled  

Following the repurchases, £95,123,000 of the Notes remain in issue. 

Kingfisher may consider purchasing any Notes remaining outstanding, but holders should note that the pricing terms for such purchases will be subject to private treaty.
