Kingfisher PLC 10 January 2001 EMBARGOED UNTIL 0700 HOURS Wednesday 10 January 2001 Kingfisher plc sells Electric City Kingfisher plc today announced that it is selling the retail assets of its Singapore-based electrical chain Electric City to Pertama Merchandising Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of leading Australian electrical retailer Harvey Norman, for $15.3 million (Singapore) (approx. £5.9 million), subject to final valuation, landlords' consents and Board approval. Completion of the transfer of assets will take place on 15 January 2001.
