Directorate change

Kier Group plc (the "Company" or "Kier") announces the appointment of Margaret Hassall as a non-executive director to its board of directors (the "Board"). The appointment will take effect from 5 April 2023. Margaret will be the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, a member of the Environment, Social and Governance Committee, the Nomination Committee and the Risk Management and Audit Committee.

Margaret is currently the Chair of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees of A J Bell plc and is a non-executive director of Reassure UK Services Limited. Most recently she served as the Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Tandem Bank and held non-executive director positions with Phoenix Group life companies.

Matthew Lester, Chairman, said: "We are delighted that Margaret has agreed to join the Board. She has broad experience in business operations, technology and change, developed across a range of different industry sectors which will be of great value to Kier. Furthermore, she is an experienced remuneration committee chair who will lead the process and engage with shareholders on our Remuneration Policy update. I look forward to working with Margaret."
