Mercury Keystone Investment Trust plc - Result of Annual General Meeting

At the Annual General Meeting of the above Company held today, all resolutions
were

unanimously passed on a show of hands. Proxies lodged were 97% in favour of
all resolutions,

0.5% against all resolutions, and 2.5% discretionary.

The name of the Company will now be changed to 'Merrill Lynch UK Investment
Trust plc'

with effect from 1 January 2001.

Mr I S Steers retired with effect from the end of the meeting.
