Extension of Offer Period

EXTENSION OF OFFER PERIOD Kerry announces that in accordance with Rule 37.1(a) of the Irish Takeover Rules, the Irish Takeover Panel has consented to a further extension of the Offer Period until 28 September, 2001 to enable the final condition of the Offer to be satisfied. This condition relates to the receipt of satisfactory mergers clearance by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment of Ireland. The Office of Fair Trading in the UK has indicated that it does not intend to refer the Offer to the Competition Commission.
