               Kenmare Resources plc ('Kenmare' or 'the Company')


Kenmare Resources plc has today issued share options, in accordance with the
terms of the Company Share Option Scheme for a nominal consideration of Euro 6,
to certain Directors and staff over 8.1 million Ordinary Euro 0.06 Shares. The
exercise price is Stg 23.75p.

The Directors and Company Secretary participate in this issue of options as
follows :
