Kenmare Resources plc has issued 14,000,000 Ordinary Shares of Nominal Value
IR5p each at a price of Stg11.25p per share pursuant to a placing announcement
on 19 June, 2000.

Application has been made to the Irish Stock Exchange and to the UK Listing
Authority for these shares to be admitted to the Official List of the Irish
Stock Exchange and the Official List of the UK Listing Authority, and to the
London Stock Exchange for such shares to be admitted to trading.
