                             ('the Company')

The Company was advised yesterday, 29 November 2000, of the following
transaction in ordinary shares by Precis (521) Limited:

'This notification relates to issued ordinary shares of 10p each in the capital
of the Company (the'shares') and is given in fulfilment of the obligations
imposed by Sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985 (the 'Act').

1.     'We hereby notify you that immediately after the time when the 
        obligation to make this notification arose we are interested in 
        4,631,860 shares.

2.     3,445,000 of the shares to which this notification relates are 
       registered in the name of Goldman Sachs Equity Securities and a further
       1,085,000 of the shares to which this notification relates are           
      registered in the name of Skerries Nominees Limited.  The identity of     
     the registered holders of 101,860 of the shares to which this              
    notification relates, is not known to us at the date of this                
   notification.

The above interest represents 10.1% of the issued share capital of the Company.
