KBC : non material exposure to Madoff

Following the fraud revealed by Madoff Investment Securities LLC, the
KBC group  states it  has  no direct  exposure to  Madoff  Investment
Securities.

Its indirect  exposure  through  collateralised loans  to  funds  (of
funds) is  immaterial  to KBC's  earnings.  KBC has  made  some  loan
advances to  institutional  customers  who  have  invested  in  funds
managed by Madoff Investment Securities, but does not expect this  to
have any indirect material impact, either.
