Admission to Trading and First Day of Dealings

Opera Investments plc, a company formed to undertake one or more acquisitions of target companies or businesses in the natural resources or oil and gas sectors, is pleased to announce its entire issued ordinary share capital consisting of 17,250,000 Ordinary Shares of £0.01 each will be admitted to the standard segment of the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities (together, the "Admission"). It is expected that the Admission will become effective and that dealings will commence at 8.00 a.m. on 27 April 2015 under the TIDM code "OPRA" (ISIN: GB00BSNBL022).

Paul Dudley, the Company's Chairman, commented: "We are very pleased to have secured investment for the Admission and look forward to executing our stated acquisition strategy for the benefit of our shareholders".

Highlights

·      The Directors of the Company intend to use some or all of the funds that have been raised on Admission to acquire a company, business, project or asset in the oil and gas or mining exploration and production sectors and to fund its on-going expenses.

·      The Company's objective is to take advantage of opportunities to invest in these sectors that have seen considerable recent volatility and to operate the companies, businesses, projects or assets that it acquires in any acquisition.

·      The Directors' intention is to create a trading business, rather than an investment entity. It is not intended that the Company acquire minority stakes in target entities.
