                       JPMORGAN US DISCOVERY INVESTMENT TRUST PLC



Changes to the Board

Following the resignation of Mr Robin Lewis as Chairman of the Board, the
Directors of JPMorgan US Discovery Investment Trust plc ('the Company') have
agreed unanimously that Mrs Davina Walter, who has been a Director of the
Company since 2002, should succeed Mr Lewis as Chairman with immediate effect.

Mrs Walter has been involved in the investment business since 1974, and
investment trusts in particular since 1985.  She has had a successful career in
a variety of investment roles including working as an investment manager of US
equity portfolios and most recently as a Managing Director at Deutsche Asset
Management Limited. Mrs Walter brings a wealth of investment experience to the
Board and a deep knowledge of the investment trust world, which the Board
believes qualifies her for the role of Chairman of the Board of JPMorgan US
Discovery Investment Trust plc.
