JPMORGAN SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

In conformity with the Transparency Directive, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 30 September 2014, JPMorgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc's issued share capital consists of 18,169,318 Ordinary 25 pence shares with voting rights.  JPMorgan Smaller Companies Trust plc does not hold any shares in Treasury.

Therefore, as at 30 September 2014, the total number of voting rights in JPMorgan Smaller Companies American plc is 18,169,318.

The above figure (18,169,318) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, JPM Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
