                     JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION


JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc announces that today, Monday 28th November
2005 in the market it purchased for cancellation 75,000 ordinary shares at
453.00 pence per share representing 0.22% of the ordinary shares in issue.

The current repurchase authority for 5,117,436 shares was approved by
shareholders on 2nd November 2005.  To date 325,000 shares have been repurchased
under this authority.

The remaining shares in issue following this repurchase totals 33,814,000.
