                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION



JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc today purchased 225,000 ordinary shares
for cancellation at 512.2837 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 26,867,880.
