                     JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc today purchased 43,000 ordinary shares for
cancellation at 521.44 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 26,443,880.
