                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION



JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc has today purchased 119,620 ordinary
shares for cancellation at 628.78 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 28,117,380.
