       REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
                              
The Fleming Mid Cap Investment Trust plc announces that
today  in  the  market  they  purchased  for cancellation
250,000 ordinary shares at 377.0p per share   representing
a  total  of  0.64%  of  the ordinary shares in issue.

The  number  of  shares repurchased  to  date  now totals
1,275,000.

The  remaining number of shares in issue following this
purchase is 38,725,000.
