  REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION


The Fleming Mid Cap Investment Trust plc announces
that  yesterday in the market they  purchased  for
cancellation 150,000 ordinary shares at 388.0p per
share   representing  a  total  of  0.39%  of  the
ordinary shares in issue.

The  number  of  shares repurchased  to  date  now
totals 1,425,000.

The  remaining number of shares in issue following
this purchase is 38,575,000.
