JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

As part of its succession planning, the Board of JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Gubbins as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st January 2017. At this point the Board will temporarily comprise six Directors and reduce to five following the retirement of a current Director later in 2017.

Richard is the Chairman of Henderson Alternative Strategies Trust PLC and holds a number of other directorships: Mortice Limited, The Masuri Group Limited, Hero Inc. BV and The American European Business Association. He is the Senior Corporate Partner of Ashurst LLP and for the past 20 years has played a senior role in developing business in Emerging Markets. He is a senior adviser in Europe to a family office, sits as an independent member of the Audit, Governance and Risk Management Committee of The England and Wales Cricket Board and he is also a member of the Development Committee of the London Chamber Orchestra.
