                 JPMORGAN FLEMING MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC



The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Mid Cap Investment Trust plc is pleased to
announce the appointment of Jeremy Wells as manager of the Company's portfolio,
with immediate effect.  Mr Wells has over fifteen years' experience in the fund
management industry, the last five within the JPMorgan Fleming organisation, and
he has been part of the Company's portfolio management team since July 2002.

Mr Wells will be joined in the management of the portfolio by Christopher
Llewelyn, who replaces James Inglis-Jones. Mr Llewelyn has over eighteen years'
experience within the JPMorgan Fleming organisation.

After six years with JPMorgan Fleming, James Inglis-Jones has decided to take on
a new challenge elsewhere.   The Board would like to thank him for his
contribution to the Company.
